WikiTranslation
From Netrek Wiki
The wiki that has been choosen by the Netrek Project, MediaWiki, has excellent internationalization support included. As such we would like to have as many of the Wiki pages translated into as many languages as possible. To this end the AutoLanguage extension has been enabled. This extension provides for transparent language support for users of the wiki if they have their preferred language parameter properly set to their choosen language.
Here is an example of how it works:
Let's say that there is a page named Foo that needs to be translated to German by a volunteer. That volunteer would create a sub-page of Foo named Foo/de that contains the German translation; "de" is the 2-letter code for German. Now if someone who has their preferred language set to German goes to the Foo page either by clicking on a wiki link or by entering it directly in their browser's location field that viewer will see the German text; the AutoLanguage extension automatically displays the language specific sub-page. This holds true for any language that is known to the wiki software.
The wiki will default to language code "en" (English); any viewer with a preferred language set other than English that tries to view a page that does not have a language specific sub-page will get the English version of that page. Additionally, the base page can always be viewed in the default language (English) by referencing it with a trailing slash such as Foo/.
Your preferred language can be set on the my preferences link at the top of all pages.
